Implementation Checklist

Welcome to the implementation phase of your Accelerate AR RDC services with Synovus! To ensure a smooth and successful setup, please follow the checklist below:
 
  • Verify administrative computer permissions. You, or your company’s representative(s) working with our Synovus team, must have administrative permissions on your computer to install software. Please verify your administrative permissions and ensure your passwords are current prior to attempting installation.
  • Synovus Gateway user access will be required. To access the Accelerate AR RDC service you must be permissioned access within the Gateway portal. For additional information on adding users to AR RDC please see our Accelerate AR RDC Gateway User Administration Guide.
  • Ensure Compatible Hardware. To utilize RDC services with Synovus you must have a compatible check scanner. You may bring your own compatible scanner or order a new scanner. If you need to order a new scanner, please see the Hardware section for more detailed instructions. Please see our Operating Requirements document for more details on compatible scanners.
  • Remove Legacy Scanner Hardware. If you are moving RDC services from another financial institution, you, or your company’s representative(s), will need to ensure any legacy bank software has been removed prior to installing services with Synovus.
  • Prepare for a Test Deposit. In order to ensure true end to end installation is successful, it is preferred to perform a test deposit at time of installation. Please have a check handy to scan.
  • Install Ink Cartridge. If you are utilizing a check scanner with an ink cartridge, ensure this is installed prior to installation.

How to Obtain Hardware

To ensure a seamless remote deposit experience, clients are required to use a compatible check scanner. This hardware is essential for accurately scanning and processing checks, enabling efficient and secure transactions. Review our options below for procuring a new check scanner or bringing your own.

  • Procuring a New Check Scanner: You may purchase a compatible check scanner within our Synovus Treasury E-Commerce Store. Within this site you can review our available scanner options for selection and purchase, manage orders and warranties, and order additional supplies as needed.
  • Using Your Own Scanner: If you already own a check scanner, please ensure it meets the Operating Requirements for Check Scanner Compatibility. Our support team is available to assist with compatibility checks and setup.

Assisted Installation Path

For clients who prefer personalized support, our Assisted Installation Path provides a dedicated Onboarder to assist with the software installation and training. This option includes:

  • Dedicated Support: A dedicated Onboarder will guide you through the installation process, ensuring all steps are completed correctly.
  • Training: Comprehensive training on using the software effectively, tailored to your specific needs.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule an appointment at your convenience for a one-on-one session with your Onboarder.

How do I access Accelerate AR RDC?

Log in to Synovus Gateway and navigate to the Accelerate Solutions menu and select Accelerate AR RDC.

How do I add a user to Gateway for access to Accelerate AR RDC?

What is the cut-off time for same-day deposits?

Accelerate AR RDC offers extended same-day deposit cut-off times of 7 pm ET/6 pm CT.

Note: Deposits can still be processed after the same-day cut-off time and will be processed as next day for additional deposit flexibility. 

Can I bring an existing scanner from another bank for use with Accelerate AR RDC?

Can I choose to perform the installation myself without assistance?

How does pricing work for AR RDC?

Accelerate AR RDC introduces a consolidated pricing structure that is easy to understand and manage. The structures includes three-line items –a monthly maintenance fee and a per scanner fee both assessed to your RDC main billing account, and an items scanned fee that will be applied to the associated deposit account(s).
